Coming Soon: Applications for the 2026-2027 Student Ambassadors

Check back here in the beginning of August for the application to be a Student Ambassador.

We are excited to start another successful year!

Who are the Student Ambassadors?

Public Health & Society Student Ambassadors serve as the public-facing representatives of the program both digitally and in person. The Student Ambassadors enhance the visibility of Public Health & Society, promote the principles of public health, and develop as effective health communicators.

Ambassadors take an active role in shaping the student experience. Student Ambassadors:

  • speak in classes and at events on campus
  • create and appear in social media content
  • and help plan community-building activities.

This role combines public speaking, digital storytelling, and event planning while building professional skills in communication, collaboration, and leadership.

This is a paid student employment opportunity.

What made you want to be a student ambassador?

To me, public health is such an exciting field because it aims to improve health from so many diverse angles outside of the clinical setting. As a Public Health & Society Ambassador, I hope to spread some of that enthusiasm to others.

Mariel Amador

I was someone who really didn't know what they wanted to do when they came into college. I took the Foundations in Public Health class and I really liked it. And then I just kept getting more involved in public health. My friends knew that I was taking public health classes and they would ask me questions about it. And I knew I knew some stuff, but not everything. And I just thought it'd be so cool to actually get to learn more.
