St. Louis Public Health in Practice: Internship and Career Expo
Hosted by the St. Louis City Board of Health and Hospitals. This exciting event will bring together community organizations, current students, and alumni from public health programs across St. Louis to learn more about internship, practicum, and career opportunities.
Schedule
8:30 a.m.: Light breakfast and informal networking
9 a.m.: Keynote by Deidre Griffith, BJC Community Health
9:30 a.m.: Panel of alumni talking about their internship experience
10 a.m.: Student internship poster presentation from each university (SLU College for Public Health and Social Justice, Lindenwood University Program for Public Health, Wash U School of Public Health, UMSL School of Nursing)
11 a.m.: Job fair
Goals
- Showcase public health internships occurring in the St. Louis area (multiple levels and skillsets)
- Link future graduates with potential employers
- Network and break down silos between and across institutions and community agencies
